Össur Power Knee
Prosthetic knees that talk to phones. I built the iOS app that made that happen.
Lead developer on Össur’s iOS app for their Power Knee and Rheo Knee prosthetic products. Low-level Bluetooth programming to interface with prosthetic hardware, tested on real prototypes and production devices alongside the engineers building them.
The work sat at the boundary between firmware and user experience. The embedded team built the hardware, I built the software that let patients and clinicians configure and monitor it.
Working through something similar?
I write about this kind of work and build the tooling in the open. If you're using it or arguing with it, I'd like to hear how it's going.
